learning screen for education

The Specific Learning Disability Screening Test was developed to help Special Education Departments and Teachers alike to identify students who are finding learning a challenge at school. It is not a diagnostic tool but a precursor that can be used to help school staff determine the best cause of action to help a student who may have a specific learning disability or a barrier that is inhibiting learning progress.

The assessment is completed on an iPad and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. A student completes tasks relating to auditory and visual memory, verbal skill, problem solving skill, writing skills and visual scanning speed with results and recommendations being reported to the school. Within the results a recommendation is made as to the suggested cause of action to best help the student. Classroom strategies for the teachers working with the student are also included.
